Invitation from WHA and CHA Presidents to Annual Conference 2010

On behalf of Women’s Hospitals Australasia (WHA) and Children’s Hospitals Australasia (CHA), we take great pleasure in inviting you to mark your diaries now for our Annual Conference to be held in Melbourne from November 8th to 10th, 2010.

Our Conference theme is: A Healthy Tomorrow Starts Today

As usual, the Conference will be the main opportunity for networking among colleagues from our member hospitals.  Delegates from non-member organisations are also welcome and encouraged to attend. 

This year we are creating more opportunities for sharing of the interests of WHA and CHA members.  Day 1 will be primarily a joint day addressing issues of concern to both WHA and CHA and we will focus on challenges and current trends in benchmarking in health organisations.  On Days 2 and 3 we will begin the day with a single plenary session for all delegates followed by parallel sessions focusing on issues pertinent to either women’s or children’s and young peoples’ health care.  These sessions will be conducted in an interactive learning format.  

We expect the Conference to attract delegates from Australia, New Zealand and overseas.  They will come from a wide variety of disciplines -medical, nursing, midwifery, allied health, executives, service managers, planners, policy makers, educators, researchers and administrators - from hospitals, the community, government and non-government sectors.

We invite anyone with an interest in the health care of women, babies, children and young people to attend this exciting Conference.  At the same time you may enjoy the opportunity to explore and enjoy all that cosmopolitan Melbourne has to offer!
